Water Fast Day 3

Day 3
Day three was much like day 2. I was completely exhausted from doing nothing. Just standing up and walking to the bathroom or looking through my closet made me feel like I just ran a marathon. Don't even get me started on taking a shower. I had to sit down just a few minutes in because my heart was pounding and it became hard to breathe. My head was throbbing for pretty much the whole day and my stomach felt like it was imploding. Fortunately, I didn't get head rush as often as yesterday. I didn't exactly feel hungry despite the pains but I couldn't stop thinking of food. Not really eating it but tasting it. And I obviously enjoy torturing myself because I was on my laptop for most of the day reading fast food secret menus and watching videos about food. On a side note; my eczema is completely gone and my skin looks overall better. The white film on my tongue went away too.

The Weigh In
I stepped on the scale at around 11pm and what is this? I weighed in at a measly 113lbs. I didn't expect to lose 10 pounds in three days and even though my dream weight was always 112 i realized that a 5'9" girl weighing 113 pounds is no good. My Dad said I'm starting to look sick and now that I pay attention, I agree. Even though my skin looked healthier my bones are starting to protrude too much for my liking and my cheeks are sinking in which is all bad considering I haven't had any baby fat since I lost it when I had the chicken pox at 1 years old so I've decided that today would be my final day of my oh so short water fast but I will be updating again to talk about breaking my fast and weight gain post-fasting.

Water Fast Day 2

Day 2
Today. was. TERRIBLE.
I slept pretty well the first night so when I woke up I expected to be fine and dandy but no. I had horrible stomach pain and a throbbing headache on and off for the whole day. My hunger was also full force and my dad constantly asking if I wanted food or making bacon and eggs didn't help much. He strongly disapproves of my fasting. I spent most of the day in bed just resting but every single time i stood up, even slowly, I got head rush and my headache felt so much worse. My vision going black for 10 seconds made me feel like toppling over. I dealt with it though and avoided being too active as much as I could.

The Weigh In.
I weighed myself at around 8pm and was 117.2 lbs and again at 10:30 and was 116 lbs even. I don't feel like I look any different aside from my belly being completely flat. I am on my period so it may change.

Sleep
It's fair to say I didn't sleep well at all. I was constantly waking up and couldn't get comfortable. I was also really cold. It's weather here is hot too but I do know this is normal though. I had a normal puffy comforter and a thick polyester blanket on and was still freezing.

Water Fast Day 1

This is a late post because I started my fast yesterday but I figured I'd make the post anyways to tell you how it was starting and I'll make another post later today after I've gone through most of the day and weigh myself.

The Down Low
Today(yesterday), I started my water fast. I'm doing this not solely to lose weight but to detox my body so I can have a clean start to a healthier life style. I've done the master cleanse before and that was pretty easy overall but constantly buying lemons and the (damn expensive) organic grade b maple syrup was too much of a chore. Anndd I was in school so I didn't want to walk around guzzling dirty pee yellow juice and rushing to the bathroom between every class only to not feel healthier after it was all over with. That aside my boyfriend suggested a water fast. He's read books on it and has done it before so I trusted his opinion enough to suffer. He and I were on polar opposite sides of the health spectrum when we met but I've gotten better.

The Plan
I don't have a specific plan for my fast. This being my first official one my goal is 5 days but that could change depending on if I get sick early on or feel super amazing on day 5. I also didn't prepare to fast like most people do by only eating light and fresh foods or drinking juice for the few days prior. My last meal consist of meat loaf, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and garlic bread.

Day 1
Throughout the day I actually felt completely fine. I didn't drink tons of water. I would sip some when I felt the urge to eat but that was all I needed. I had slight hunger pains here and there but that was mainly from having to cook food for my brother and not eat any of it and going to my aunts house and watching them eat but I was okay. I wasn't any more tired than usual and didn't feel sick at all. So far so good.

I weighed myself the day before I started and I was 123lbs NAKED and by my first night on it I was 119lbs FULLY CLOTHED. So keep in mind numbers will be slightly off depending on what I am or am not wearing. But I lost 4 pounds my first day(woop woop). I'm not sure if I'll post my day 2 tonight or tomorrow morning but I'll keep you updated. If you have any questions feel free to ask,

My beauty diary top 7 review series Part 1: Aloe mask

I purchased the My Beauty Diary Top 7 Kit awhile ago but never got around around to trying any of them because I was afraid I'd fall in love and won't be able to buy more>< but I decided to try one every week or so and write a series of reviews on them and tell you which ones are my favorite.
First up is the Aloe mask
This is all it's claimed to do. Copied and Pasted from Sasa.com

My Beauty Diary Aloe Mask provides hydration and nourishments for skin. It is ideal for all skin types, especially dry and damaged skin.

Hydrate and repair skin: Natural aloe extracts contain various vitamins which provide hydration and nourishment for skin. Rose essence is contained to repair dry and rough skin.

Revitalize and nourish skin: Seaweed-yeast complex contains rich amino acid and microelements to nourish skin. Hyaluronic acid extracted by biological technology is an efficient hydrating ingredient, allowing watery and smooth skin.

Application:
The mask is on a sheet of plastic so it's easy to unfold without getting frustrated or confused. The sheet itself is thin and fits comfortably on my face. You can see in the pictures that the mask is thin enough to see my eyebrows and acne clearly.

Once you apply the mask you wait for 20-30min as the package directs. During this time i didn't get any annoying drips down my neck despite how much serum is on the sheet. It also didn't lift off my face when i talked which is a big plus because I hate having to readjust masks once its on. After the time is up peeeel away.

All the serum I squeezed out of the sheet. There was sooo much I was able to massage it into my face, neck, chest, arms, and hands.

There honestly wasn't any noticeable differences from how my skin looked 40 minutes before(I always leave masks on longer cause I'm a rebel.) My face looked slightly brighter and more moisturized but nothing super special. But i usually see more results the morning after so I put on my regular moisturizer and went to bed and 4 hours(again, rebel) later i woke up at 6am to do my whole routine of gym and school my skin was baby bottom smooth. It didn't brighten my face or get rid of any redness but then again, it didn't promise to.

eyebags and forever dull skin...being a badass comes with sacrifice.

  Overall:
I'd rate this a 6/10. It does make my skin softer but so many other masks can do than and more. It would do well if you use masks every few days but being the cheapo i am, it can't be done. You could also get a better effect if your skin is normal-oily rather than dry like mine. All-in-all this is nice but I wouldn't go out of my way to repurchase.
